I would not expect anything less from a Republican. I thought this was all part of their "plan" anyway.

+1 Republicans really are the best people.

I bet every single one of them prances to church every Sunday, all haughty and self righteous, to pray for blessings after supporting heartless actions such as this one and others that leave those less fortunate royally screwed.

It’s just all performative bullshit with these people.

The administration may or may not have known about this specific employee who seems to have gotten her job competitively, but they certainly knew about the employees with developmental disabilities at the FAA who they fired, and then blamed for the tragic accident at National Airport, even though their jobs were unrelated to traffic control. They knew about the interns in the Project Search site at NIH because they cancelled that program.

I am not sure they deserve this benefit of the doubt.

Being anti-DEI is being anti programs like this .. the I is inclusion.

I think the woman's supervisors really failed her because if she was VERA eligible and laid off she would get a DSR instead. By voluntarily leaving she forfeit her rights to challenge the RIF as well as having preferential re-employment rights. If she took the VERA and not DRP she didn't even get anything in exchange for forfeiting those rights.

We had a similar program for providing custodial services at my old agency. They were very hard, dedicated workers. This is extremely sad.

How terrible. That was a terrific program. I do not understand how so many can support this kind of stuff.

This is so heartbreaking for people with developmental disabilities, who previously had lucrative careers at NIH and many other federal agencies:

Why couldnt they just keep their jobs?!?! Ugh!
