Send him to daycare, where the staff will deal with the accidents and still expose him to the same things as pre-school. 3 yos do crafts and outside time and ABCs/123s at daycare. It's really not that different.

Have you asked the school? Our school claimed you had to be potty trained but didn't strictly enforce it. They just meant they wouldn't change diapers/pullups at school. Does he poop in the potty? I would just talk to them.

What's a P-IEP? A regular IEP is for students with disabilities -- so if he was struggling with potty training because of cerebral palsy or autism or whatever. You can't get an IEP just because he's still wearing diapers.

They’re not going to let him wear a pull-up though. Send extra clothes. Accidents in PK3, especially the first couple months, are par for the course.

I have heard that some charters are stricter, but I don’t know if that’s just a party line “all kids must be potty trained” but they’ll also deal, or if it’s real. Worth posting the name of the charter, someone here will know.

No, we live in Prince William- Manasass.

My private preschool in Maryland has no rules about potty training. And my kid was accident free in undies closer to 4 and it wasn’t a problem.

MY DS is still having too many accidents to go to pre-school.
He will have accident about 3-4 times a week, he needs to be pull-ups free for the pre school he was going to attend, can he quantify of P-IEP if the only issue he is having is not going to the bathroom on time? He was born on September so he will be 3 next month (almost.)
So that is a different issue issue for another day.
