It raises the outer edges of the brows. There are lots of before and after photos online. Most of the celebrities that were born with hooded eyes and have since had upper blephs have also had lateral or endoscopic brow lifts. Off the top of my head I can think of Taylor Swift, Emma Stone, and Jennifer Lawrence.

None of those three have had brow lifts.

How was your recovery from lower bleph? Was it painful? I really need one but I am scared.

I did it and LOVED my results. Virtually pain-free, although the bruising was spectacular and I hid in my house for a week! I did do a "touch up" about 15 years later.

Yes, I did. I love it but after 7 years the skin has gotten crepey and saggy so I’m thinking of getting laser on my eyelids to tighten things up. I’d love to get a lower bleph since my upper bleph was so successful but it’s more downtime than I can spare at the moment.

I did one around 50. Stong genetics of heavy, sagging lids. Went to a highly recommended ocular plastics guy in Wellesley MA. Overall happy but disappointed with scar lines!!

I’m in pretty good shape for 50 with still plenty of fat in my face, great skin and few wrinkles. I don’t use Botox or filler but go to the plastic surgeon for skincare procedures and services. I’m considering doing an upper bleph now while I have a slight heaviness but nothing too pronounced. I feel like making small tweaks now before the bottom falls out will be a more subtle route. Should I wait until my lower lid is hidden or is it possible to be “preventative”? I read that an upper bleph lasts 10-15 years. At some point down the road I’ll consider a lower face lift.

What was your experience with the upper bleph? Still going strong? How long has it been?
