Do it before she leaves. There's no SET rule that says it has to be 10 business days. It can be 14!

I would just do it today op. Two weeks is kind of short these days, most people give more so if you can, give her some time to process this before her vacation on Wednesday. I know it’s hard but it won’t be easier on Wednesday. And then you won’t have to set up a separate time.

It’s always hard but then it’s over and bosses know this happens - she’ll be ok.

Yes, give the notice now. Let her have her vacation to get over it and not ruin her "return to office" even more with your notice.

If you do c. Expect them to unapprove your vacation. Most companies have policies not allowing PTO after notice is given.

I'd email it Friday as you intended to your boss.

I would just give notice now. 3-4 weeks is a perfectly reasonable amount of notice for a professional with good work relationships and if they are asking you to train for a new role it’s time to tell them.

Option C is the right call.
