My kids go to a public school with a 3% FARMS rate and I don't see why we have to pool school supplies.

As a parent of an older elementary child, I would not label anything.

Each teacher has a way they manage supplies. What is the rush?

The teachers take time during school to do these things. I feel like it helps all the children settle and prepare for the new school year.

I teach 3rd, but have taught 4th. Names on things like composition books and folders can’t hurt. I give mine labels with their name and subject to put on the notebooks. Each students’ supplies like pencils, glue sticks, and sticky notes go into a Ziplock bag labeled with their names. I keep those in crates and when a student needs something they take it from their own supply.

What an ignorant thing to say.

It’s the truth, you might not like to hear it, but it’s still the truth.

It is absolutely not the truth.

Wow - that's a rude response.
