Not all colleges will allow students to change from test optional to reporting a score.
Maybe post which ones those might be that you know of. All schools mine applied to allowed portal updates. We didn’t do scores, but it was option.
I'm not going through 100+ college websites. OP should check each school on the list. Here is one random example, Tufts: "Prior to submitting the application, we ask students whether or not they want test scores to be included with the review of their application. Once students submit their application for admission, the answer selected in the application cannot be changed. We encourage students to have thoughtful conversations about this decision prior to the submission of the application with school counselors and educators who are advising them."
Most schools accept portal updates, but as I mentioned above, not all schools accept self-reported scores to begin with - some require an official score report. This is a separate issue from whether or not the school allows a student to change from test optional to reporting a score.
