Longstreth has field hockey bags for ~$30. Put stinky turf shoes at bottom, Wrap stick in a pair of sweatpants, a golf umbrella for parent, and a practice ball. Grocery store wire tie the zippers together, and check the bag. Have never had an issue.

DS flew with a baseball bat once, last minute so he didn’t have a bag. Bubble wrap, covered in trash bags, and duct tape worked fine.

Go to play it again sports and buy an old school lacrosse stick bag. Shouldn't cost more than $10.

Bags are cheap. You will probably use it more than you think. My daughter flies with her stick 2-3 times a year.

Bubble wrap? I mean you'd have to buy it but it would cheaper than a ski bag.

Or borrow a ski bag? As someone who owns a ski bag, I'm not using it at this time of the year so I'd happily lend it.
