We recently went on a trip to Italy and I got that backpack. It was incredible! I can’t believe how much it holds and now my husband wants to steal it for work trips. I was able to bring that and an away carry-on and no one questioned the size of the backpack as a personal item. You can expand it or shrink it with the zippers in case you question about its size. I was skeptical because of the price and it being at target But again can’t say enough good things about it.

I’ve seen a lot of people in airports with Patagonia and Cotopaxi ones.

We have them. Got them from something like Temu or 32 Degrees and paid like $25 each. We use them a lot and they have held up just fine. However, they do get heavy if you are carrying them for long distances.

brand is lovevook. We have two and love them. Used them for a two week trip around N. Europe this summer. We did multiple flights, no checking luggage. Highly recommend.

Bought something similar. It works well. Flight attendants view it as a backpack and don't hassle you to check it in. They're good it you're going somewhere with cobbles where wheels don't work well.

Yes, this was our experience this summer as well. If you can wear it on your back and it doesn't have wheels, they will not check it for size in when you are flying in and out of Euro airports. We had a couple of flights where they were very agressive about checking carry on bags for size before letting folks board. Nobody ever asked husband or I to check these.

DCs had this brand wheeled backpacks for 3 years, still durable. It’s a reliable brand. They offer 15% or 20% off discount if you’re interested.

I love this one. Each member of my family (me, spouse, our four adult kids) have one.

Would you mind linking it, if they still make it? I just scoured the website and I can’t find anything that isn’t configured like a typical backpack.

I apologize, I don’t even know what to call this type of bag, but it looks like this:

https://www.target.com/p/35l-travel-backpack-beige-open-story-8482/-/A-89699011

It’s the size of a backpack but opens like a suitcase.

This one is from Target, but some of the reviews aren’t great. Samsonite sells a similar backpack, but it’s $200! Tons of options are available on Amazon for half the price of the Target bag, but I question if the quality of any of those is any better.

If you have a backpack like this, please drop your recommendations!
