Split the parents and get connecting rooms if possible.

Breakfast complimentary. Stuffed with breakfast and then also got lots of breakfast stuff up in the room to make packed lunch and snacks for all, and used some breakfast stuff - fruits, yogurt, juice, muffins etc for dessert after dinner. We also cooked some easy dinners too - pasta, veggies and sausage in pasta sauce.

Come back for happy hour with complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres at 7. Went back for fireworks.

You dragged four kids back to the hotel for happy hour then dragged four kids back to the park for fireworks? From that far at the residence inn?

We only have two kids but they don’t like to share a bed. Their favorite is Embassy Suites.

I don't have 4 kids, but I've been in a room like that in Home2Suites. Some other hotels with 2 beds and a sofa beds say max occupancy 5.

Depends on the room. There are definitely rooms/suites that can sleep 6.
We usually stayed in Residence Inns.

Hyatt has a family plan at some of the hotels that offer half off the second room. I believe you have to call.

We have three kids and we sometimes get two rooms and DH and I split up. It actually makes it better for the kids to not all be in the same space (but it costs more!)

I was one of 4 kids and literally never stayed in a hotel in my childhood. They aren't made for your family size.

Which hotel chains offer suites that sleep 6 (example: two beds + pull-out couch)? Or if you have 4 kids, do you just get a Vrbo/AirBnB/cabin?
