Check out Noom if you don’t want to commit to a therapist.

Just track your calories (plenty of free apps) and make the decision to eat healthy. If you really want to lose the weight you'll change. Sure, a therapist could help for accountability, perhaps or for why you seem unable to commit to a healthier lifestyle (self sabotage).

To lose weight you can eat the foods you like. You have to count calories. Most people are more successful when they stick to a less restrictive and dramatic diet, but for a long time with great consistency. There are people on diets who will still have a cookie every day or a cheeseburger every Friday or whatever it is they want to include.

The hard thing about healthy eating habits are that they run counter to our culture. Losing weight and keeping it off requires living like a fish out of water in the u.s.

I don’t think you need a therapist, just need to be honest with yourself about what you don’t eat.

I lost weight eating [list of things that I ate during that time - maybe I will post it later].

Why can’t I do it again? I won’t even commit to eating those things though I am even heavier and constantly sad about it. I like those foods….

My weight shot up this summer. Some stressful family occurrences that I swear is just putting me into cortisol mode all the time.

Do I need a therapist? Or do I need to just keep trying? Thoughts?
