This is not a meet that factors much. Please do not put it in the same realm as Futures.

ISCA is a Mickey Mouse meet. Any of the good swimmers are at Futures this week.

ICSA is not a fast meet. It is a great opportunity for smaller clubs to give their swimmers a travel meet.

Futures and NCSA are this weekend. Every fast kid is going to one or the other of these meets. LOTS of scratches.

Divisionals is many of the fast older kids only chance to race with a tech suit. In our “upper middle class” division, I saw no tech suits/ kneeskins the first 4 meets of the year, and just a few in the last meet by those going for records.

Almost every kid who wants to place high at divisionals, swims at it, without regard to this choice meaning a teammate won’t get the same opportunity.

No. Lots of top swimmer still swam at divisionals even when they knew they would not swim at all stars due to bigger meets happening he same weekend.

And that's because Divisionals matter. If a kid wants to make IAS, s/he had plenty of A meets during which to make the qualifying time.

not in NVSL. Only divisionals times qualify for IAS.

There are always a lot of scratches in 15-18 group.

Futures and NCSAs are next week so top 13-18 yr old swimmers will be there.

Kids who play fall sports want to go on vacation and skip all stars.

Some families already had vacations planned.

Does that matter in NVSL?

Some kids are burned out on swimming after MD Champs th/F last week and S/M of this week.
