it was combined for pre-ecnl past season. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON!!! it was such a mess... uneven number of games played, weakest teams moving up to top of standing, weaker south benefited the most.

why would they do that? parents of u-littles don't want to drive all the way to va beach or richmond for one game when there are 100 equal teams they could play in a 30 minute radius.

it was annoying. they did it to help the southern conference because they didn't have enough

a lot of those teams are closer to NC. they should be playing NC teams.

It wasn’t that bad. It was odd that they did it during the season. Total speculation here, but I was wondering if they knew that some teams were going GA so they saw a need to start the process of collapsing or re-programming. That said, maybe they were using last year to test things out. I am not sure if VA RL added teams, but if they didnt, they may need to reset a bit since 2 departed.

I'm in a different part of the country where distances are much worse and this summer ECNL-RL split our region, which was great but then said never mind and un-split it after we had our schedules and showcases worked out and now our club is having to rework the schedules. It double sucks because our state plays HS in fall and the other states play in spring so we are having to cross our fingers that winter weather won't cancel November-February games between high school seasons that we're booking flights for now.
