My husband is the president of a bank. He's had a secretary for 40 years - some good, some poor, all he has shared with a pool of staff.

If there were a drug that could turn you gay, I would seriously consider it. I like women better than men, I’m just heterosexual.

I work in banking, and we still get secretaries (but call them executive assistants). I’ve had some bad ones, but my current one is amazing.

I've worked in an office for 25 years and have never encountered a secretary. I don't know what is wrong with all these guys...if we do things right our teenage sons will not grow up like them.

Secretaries ? What line of work are you in that you still have a secretary? Mine was phased 5+ years ago.

Men will return when masculinity is not attacked, diminished and outright demonized. Until then, men will come last in the home, but remain first to their young, attractive secretaries at work.

Couldn’t resist.

This is what it looks like when a borderline becomes a narcissist.

We wanted men to be more in tune with their feelings because their anger can be destructive to themselves, their families and society, but this is an overcorrection, the nambypamby men described in this piece. Yuck. There is a middle ground. Thank goodness my partner is a balance of all the good parts that we want.

Perhaps we need to do a better job of preparing our sons (and daughters!) for eventual marriage.

Navigating relationships is a critical life skill.

Just noting the title of this essay is actually "The Trouble With Wanting Men." So the focus is on the experience if women who want relationships with men but struggle to find men interested in or capable of that.

Sell newspapers to democrats who lack critical thinking skills.

This seems to be a thematic series at the NYT:

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/21/magazine/men-heterofatalism-dating-relationships.html?unlocked_article_code=1.YU8.43pQ.EZ4bi1dHDtR_&smid=url-share

Men are just unable to operate in normal, grown up relationships - or at least that's what the these articles would have us believe.

Honestly, I think this is turning into a pretty tired trope. (guy here)
