The two online services I use to get high quality produce and dairy plus some other things are South Mountain Creamery and Seasonal Roots. Between the two of them I can get a lot of groceries and that greatly increases time between trips to the store.

It's too much trouble to use delivery service in this area. Resign yourself to farmer's markets or a trek to Balducci's on weekends. You could pay a personal chef to do this for you. I tried Wegman's recently, found it better that than others but walked out without a purchase.

I used grocery delivery service a lot in the past, but got tired of the quality of items ( rotten produce, expired food etc, most of the time). Try wegman store pick up, they seem to have their own store shoppers to shop items for you, even it’s still managed through instacart. Not all shoppers pick good items for you. Or Amazon prime at least you can ask for refund on rotten/expired items. The best is for certain items ( like watermelon, some perishable items etc) you still go to store to choose yourself.

We moved to the area couple years ago, and the produce here is depressing. I’m not sure if you need to have it delivered, but I wouldn’t. The only place that’s somewhat reliable is Whole Foods. Giant, Safeway, wegmans, etc all have terrible produce reliability.

Op here - Will definitely try farms too but need a source I can get delivered regularly along with other groceries.

We're new to the area and need to order groceries delivered to McLean, VA. In the past Sam's club had the very best produce - but what's the best here? Costco? WalMart? Whole Foods? Something else? THANK you in advance.
