What is it about DCUM and all the problems and complaints you have about weddings? Can’t you just go to a wedding and have fun?

When we go to a wedding, regardless of whose it is, we view it as something that the bride and groom will never forget, so we make every effort to stay until the last minute and we make sure that not only we have a good time but that they SEE us having a good time. It’s important to them. Can’t you all just try to be a little generous once in your lives? Why are you all such complaining shrews all the time?

If you don’t want to go to the damn wedding, then don’t go to the damn wedding. But just quit complaining about them!

Nope. You've dedicated enough time to a destination wedding at that point. They encouraged you to make a vacation of it, so do just that.

What Mass lasts 2 hours? Not a Catholic one that’s for sure. And who else call it a Mass but Catholics?

What DCUM thinks doesn't matter. What would bride/groom think? I think you already know the answer.

It's fine to leave, especially if you are not in the wedding party/immediate family.

6 hours is really long to be there.

Mass was 11-1 and then1-2 was cocktails/appetizers, then lunch was served at 3. Speeches and dancing at 4.

There's often some disorganization at these things and I doubt it's the bride's fault. Probably the venue.

Especially if there's a huge lag while they're all off taking pictures, you can expect that people are entitled to the time off at the end by leaving early.

No. You were there for the service and the bulk of the reception. I wouldn't tell people where I'm going or prance through in a bikini but to just quietly say "We wanted to congratulate you again, everything was beautiful, we have to get going, love you" is fine.

Guests at a destination wedding. Is it rude to leave after all the toasts, speeches, dinner and dancing but before the final send off? Wedding started with mass at 11 am and then guests left reception at 5 pm. Rude?
