This tournament has gone downhill and a complete rip off since Mabulada took over. Overpriced food and drinks takes the fun out of the event.

Drove to the parking garage and ubered to stadium yesterday. It wasn't too crowded until everyone left work at 5pm.

The food was meh. Also think about when you are going to eat because after the big matches, the food places get busy.

What is with the people who dress up like it's Wimbledon? I can't imagine what it will be like for the dandies tomorrow when it's going to be hotter than the sun.

Also GO TAYLOR!!!!

I was there yesterday, it was great, everyone is so nice, food choices are solid, easy to walk around the stadiums/practice courts (fun to watch). I just drove there and paid $30 for parking (Apple Pay) .

Just wear athletic clothes and be ready to sweat. Don’t make it an instagrammable attempt.

Our weekly tickets came with parking, we arrived 30 minutes before the start, parked, and explored the merch in the AC, checked out lunch options, and then bounced around between the side courts until the main matches we wanted to see where our seats were on the main court.

Bring a hat and sunglasses, fill out whatever survey to get a battery operated fan (or bring your own), and bring a clear, refillable water bottle (they have water filling stations). It's bloody hot and miserable, but lots of good tennis!

It looks like it will be daunting coming and going.

We're thinking metro from Virginia, then Uber/Lyft to drop off point and it looks like it's a fairly easy walk to the courts from there. We're wondering if this will be a disaster. We read somewhere that it was a nightmare coming and going and that in the past they didn't have enough water. Survival tips would be appreciated. We're just hoping we don't die of heat stroke.

Pro Tip - Uber to 16th st just south of the complex and walk.

CitiOpen is great. We go every year and is a highlight of the summer. There are indoor places to eat if you want to get out of the heat, and plenty of places to buy drinks/water.
