+1, we do last names on a lot of stuff, like water bottles.
But OP, you will use 40+ labels per kid. Clothes for daycare and for years of camp. Costumes that go to school. Backpacks, coats, water bottles. Reusable snack boxes. Dishes that go to school events and team potlucks.
I've bought new labels at least 3 times. I use Name Bubbles and put the clothing labels on everything including dishes.
