So you want to go back to the yellow oak floors or the cherry cabinets? Gray is neutral as a canvas allowing for variety in adding color to a space.

They’re hideous. And I’m a millennial with gray walls! But those floors give cheap flip. And don’t get me started on a gray kitchen.

Gray has had a chokehold on millennials for years.

I want to replace some.old laminate in our house but most of the laminate and lvp still has gray tones and I just don't want it. Would look really bad with the houses original oak floors.

I see a lot of cool flooring on the web, but it's on the UK!

That was done to my grandma's custom built home from the 1960s. The second owners kept the hardwood. The third owners did grey LVP.

Rip it out and replace if you’re bothered, OP.

It depends on the shade and material for me. I like weathered grey hardwood in a cabin. Our beach place has ceramic planks that are a warmish pale griege, and we have found it to be a very flexible color. But I dislike a lot of the grey floors I’ve seen. It wouldn’t keep me from buying a house, though.

How gray? Ours is pretty neutral with a touche to avoid making it look orange or yellow

That makes sense. I get it that people can have different tastes from me. But I'm finding it hard to believe that sooo many people like something that I have as negative of a reaction to as I do grey floors.

All the flippers did that for a while.

I won't buy a house with grey floors. It's so incredibly depressing. I don't understand why so many houses have it. And I even like grey walls well enough! But the floors.
