I'm not a fan of this administration, but they invited some of the best scientists in the field to present their research and advocate for change. And many of the presenters were critical of the FDA.

Women's health is not a partisan issue. The question is whether they will actually make the changes these scientists recommend--like removing the black box warning from vaginal estrogen products.

Mark Markary has written several books about medical myths today. His most recent book Blindspots has a chapter on the HRT
Recommendations.

Good for the doctor for moving ahead with evidence-based medicine.

Read his book!

+1

Who was behind this and how will they profit from the message?

I don’t trust anyone at the FDA right now.

Basically, vaginal estrogen is safe and can prevent 50% of UTIs! In the older population, this can save lives, as UTIs can kill the elderly.

I watched about half so far -- the science shows that estrogen should be prescribed for more menopausal women in their 40s and 50s to prevent heart disease, all cancers, osteoporosis, etc. Testosterone is currently not available for women, unless they are trans male, and it should be.

Tell me you didn’t read or watch anything without telling me you didn’t read or watch anything.

No thanks. I watched the whole thing and think it's worth the watch. You can probably find an article that summarizes it, though.

If you are still on the fence about HRT, I suggest you watch this panel from yesterday at the FDA. All of the nation's experts on the effects of HRT are there and present the science.
