Just watched it. I think she fell too. She sounds like she drank a lot as a rule and she was out late drinking, in a relatively strange location and got disoriented. It’s sort of an intriguing story but like a lot of these things, not much to the mystery.

I thought the brother and Dad said she was on their balcony? They were all sharing a hotel room.

Well this was in 1998. There were some cameras in public areas, but not on private room balconies.

The Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act (CVSSA) was enacted in 2010, requiring cruise ships to install surveillance cameras in all public places and maintain electronic video surveillance for documenting and assisting in the prosecution of crimes.

1) You don't have to be attractive and 2) you can be drugged.

When/where was she drugged in a 30-45 minute period of time between her dad seeing her on the balcony and waking up and not seeing her there...?

Jeepers, I did not expect that to be the first response to this thread! A bit harsh.

I was listening to the brother being interviewed on the radio earlier today, which led me to read about the story online. I had not really previously been aware of it.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to stomach watching the Netflix show but it sounds gut wrenching no matter what. The family is still holding out hope for closure of some kind.

DP: Why would it be wrenching to watch? Its not real footage. Its a spin on what the family think happened.

Most likely she fell off, thinking she was going into the bathroom or something. Remember that she had been drinking all night until about 4am. Its odd that her brother left her alone in the bar and came back to the room without her. Then they hung out on the balcony until 5ish am and AGAIN he left her out there? I cannot imagine leaving my drunk sibling on a cruise ship balcony alone.

Pp here, I guess wrenching because I put myself in the parents’ shoes reading about it and hearing the brother speak on the radio today also made it even more real what they are still going through. He sounded earnest and relatable as a human being.

They think she came back in the room because a shirt she had on was back in the room. They think that's proof she didn't fall off...hmmm....

I think maybe she came back in, took clothes off (remember she had been drinking for many hours) then went out on the balcony thinking it was the bathroom and fell off. (Anyone have a roommate in college use a closet as a bathroom in their drunken state?).

I just watched episode 1 and it seems obv to me that she fell over. Still gonna watch the series, though. I hope her family can find some peace.

OH! And the Dad saw her out there alone around 5:45 am. Why wouldn't he ask her to come in? Such an odd family and something is off.

I personally thought it was odd how the family thought she was so attractive. Like how they kept saying how much attention she got from staff. She was average at best. I hate to be that person, but they are delusional.

***spoilers***

A 3 part special just came out about the disappearance of Amy Bradley from Rhapsody of the Seas in 1998. I will not be able to watch for a few weeks but have read there is clear evidence she was used for sex trafficking.

Has anyone else watched it yet? What did you think?
