Just call yourself a data analyst

I have a phd in Sociology and 15 years of experience of managing public health and international development research. I'm not a statistician but can do basic analysis. Like most of my peers my job was eliminated, and I'm trying to figure out how to recreate myself. I know I have a lot of transferrable skills -- project management, limited people management, strong writer, analysis. But I don't know where to direct my efforts and search. I thought maybe medical/pharmaceutical research? Any ideas?
