The Pettit incident was the second time in eight days that a child was violently killed by an adult in a Connecticut Avenue apartment building that has taken on a massive number of voucher recipients (the first was at the now-infamous Sedgwick Gardens). The buildings are 0.7 of a mile apart.

DC leaders, including and especially the Ward 3 council member, have done nothing.
