Subject: does your kid (late elementary through highschool) use a desk in their room for homework?
Both my kids have desks, but they usually prefer to work at the dining table. Although sometimes my middle schooler does study in his room, but on the floor. But the desk and shelf and important as a place to keep things organized

One HS kid has a desk in their room which they use for homework. Other HS kid prefers the dining room table or the desk in the office.

Both my ES & upper ES kids have desk since prek, they play/do craft and eat on it, and it was life time picnic style then upgraded to set, and currently they’re each have one lifetime 80160 desks with Hon ergonomic chairs, at their own rooms. Even DH was in the same style desk for wfh before transfer to electric adjustable desk. DCs used to do homework on dining table sometimes. I think as long as there’s a desk or table it would be fine.

Yes. He sometimes does work at the kitchen counter, but if it’s easy work he sometimes prefers to do it alone at his desk.

Ha! I make my bad student use the kitchen table where I can’t watch him and make sure he is actually doing his homework!

No, we wanted DD at the dining table instead of holed up in her room. We eat in the kitchen so it's not a big deal if homework spreads out on the other table.

Not right now. My kids have desks in the sun/craft room as they always want help or need prodding. They have a table in their room that's for legos.

No. There's a table in the playroom so they can do homework there, but often do it at the kitchen or dining room tables.

No. They do their school work afterschool at school with tutoring if needed. Then they are bussed by the school to their extra circulars.

I'm redoing my rising 3rd graders room and debating whether to include a desk. I remember doing my homework on my bedroom floor and he currently does it at kitchen table so I can help but I'm curious as he gets older if many / most kids do it at a desk in their room
