Scheduling is a bit trickier for this coming season—more travel in a shorter period of time. The MLSNext season needs to be completely wrapped up in May 2026 (including MLSNext Cup Playoffs and Showcase, which typically take place in mid-June).
Apparently there is some football event in the states next summer impacting the schedule.![]()
We were told to block off two 4 day back to back weekends at the end of April/start of May for travel to the DMV - which makes sense now if they are going to condense the post-season.
Two four days weekends of skipping school on Fri and Mon? Yikes
Also, they prohibit children from representing their HS. How’s this legal let alone moral and ethical? Are parents so spineless they won’t stand up for themselves?
Is this sarcasm?
Part of the problem is this poster. Willing to let an outside agency dictate what their child can or can’t do with their private life.
It was clear for everyone going into MLSNext league -- no high school. If you want to play HS then don't join a club that plays in this league. It wasn't a bait and switch situation. They were up front about it in the rules.
