My children get very hard / thick ear wax that’s hard even for doctors to remove. Their pediatrician recommended massaging coconut oil into the skin near the ear opening - the oil warms with body heat, drips into the ear and keeps the wax soft, helping it come out on its own. I always forget to try so I can’t say whether it works.

Are the q tips causing the vertigo?

Very likely.

Don't.

The sticky wax catches germs that would otherwise make it's way into the ear drum.

The wax will eventually clump up, detach, abd fall out of your ear on it's own

We allow our children to use q tips and now one of them is complaining of vertigo after using q tips. Any suggestions on how to clean ears without q tips?
