What a shit life to be on drugs forever.

It’s better than being so overweight to the point of becoming diabetic…and then needing insulin injections forever. This option is so much better.

NP here not on glp but I take thyroid meds and I will forever. Lots of people have to take drugs for various reasons forever. Why do you care that they take the glp’s?

Congrats on your weight loss! One thing to think about is landing at a set clothing size rather than between sizes - personally I prefer to be a couple pounds heavier and have most things fit off the rack, rather than have everything be either too loose or too tight when I try it on.

Is there a reason to do it every 10-14 days versus halving the dose and doing it weekly?

109 is unhealthy range unless you’re 5 feet.

I get a dose every 2 weeks and haven’t gained anything back, trying to stick to my former regiment. And I still love food.

Do you ever get any enthusiasm back for food? I’ve only been on a GLP-1 for 2 weeks, but I already have no interest in food. I have to force myself to eat. I guess that’s the point, but I emotionally miss it.

I am a PA in a cardiology office, so we dont directly prescribe often but a ton of my patients are on a glp-1 journey. I have maybe 16/17 trending down and everyone has gained something back. And a few have gained quite a bit back while tinkering with (what I consider) fairly high maintenance doses. I think its just something on this course of treatment we don’t really have down yet. Some individuals seem to be on this trend of going off completely and jumping back on 6-8 months later to even things out and that seems to work almost better then tinkering around with a maintenance dose. I know I am offering no real advice, just weighing in with what Ive seen so far! Best of luck, but yes mentally accept its not your bodies set point and there will be tinkering to it.

I think you're just going to have to play with the dose. Start backing off gradually and super slowly (like 1.9ml for a few weeks) and see if you can maintain. If yes, then go a little lower.
Congrats!

You are going to gain some back. Be mentally prepared.

I started on my GLP journey and went from almost 200 pounds to now 109 pounds. Im not trying to lose more weight and am so happy with my results. My doctor wants me to just stay at my dose of 2ml Semaglutide. I'd love to maintain my weight but at a lower dose to save some money or am I stuck at 2ml indefinitely? If now in the maintenance phase of dosing, how did you get there and did you gain weight back? My doctor isn't as well versed in dosing as I'd hoped him to be.
