My definition of a "bot" is a mechanism that posts automatically without human involvement. I encounter these sorts of bots daily as they try to post spam, create fake accounts (to be used for posting spam), and spider the website in order to index the content. In the over 20 years that I have been running this website, I have noted common characteristics of automated bots. This poster does not have any of those characteristics.

On the other hand, this poster does sock puppet, something I just discovered. So, while I do not believe the poster is a "bot', the poster is not exactly wanted here either.

Thank you for checking, and for the clarification. How do you define sock puppeting? Pretending to be multiple PPs on the same thread?

Sock puppeting is replying to your own post as if you are a different person or making separate replies in the same thread as if you are different posters.

French people and some Indians put space before exclamation point.

RE: Political Forum. There is a consistent (MAGA) poster that posts distinctive sentences that have a space between their last word before they use exclamation marks.

For example, in “The Trump Slump” thread, they post like this:

“So if they can't rip us off then they will have gigantic trade deficits with China and the rest of Asia without reserve currency and their massive welfare states.

Get the popcorn !!!”

Is this how you know it’s a bot?
