I hate when they play music especially bad music. I find it just adds to the noise level

Music is played during meets, but also during typical pool operations. I don’t know if anyone complains.

No music is played during practice. Music is played during meets, but for Saturday morning A meets no music is played until after 8:30 am, which is well within noise ordinances.

Music is played all day at the pool between 11 am and 9 pm.

Meets only - starting around 7am. Thankfully, we aren't too close to homes (meaning not directly adjacent) but you can definitely hear the music in the neighborhood (can hear it from my own house before my kids were old enough to swim.) We get 1-2 complaints a year - that never really escalate into anything. It is typically 2-3 times/year (home meets) + end of the year party (which is in the afternoon evening.) I think once people know this isn't going to happy every Saturday, they are fine.

We play music at practices and meets. Our pool has an underwater system so it is in the water as well.

We are not directly near any homes in the neighborhood so not much of an issue.

Summer swim teams in Fairfax County (NVSL or otherwise):

Does your team play amplified music during meets? How about during practices?

If so, how is the swim team’s relationship with the surrounding neighborhood? Is there anything specific that your team does to help strengthen that relationship or gain support from neighbors?
