Just pick a luxury family resort and skip the idea of a waterpark and trampoline. Those things don’t go with “luxury resort.”

I wouldn’t drive that far with a toddler and I it’s easier to take his/her stuff if you drive. I’d be looking at the Homestead or the Williamsburg Inn.

How old is your toddler. Would they put up with ski school?

Stowe is a cute town. But toddlers may not be old enough to do much of the outdoor fun.

The VonTrapp Lodge is often recommended. They don't have a kids program but they do offer a winter carriage ride. I can't find the situation with their pool but they have massages and yoga.

When we took our kids on winter ski trips, they read books, did board games, and also found shopping in a new grocery store to be somewhat fun.

My husband took our 4 year old to the Burlington Science Center.

We have seen fireworks and ski torch parades at ski resorts on New Years'. Those are usually a little crowded but not impossible.

Vermont old-timey general stores can be fun for little kids.

A lot depends on your kid. I'm always amazed by the athletic families that start their kids early. If you project enthusiasm, the kid will likely do that too. If you don't think it's fun to be out in the cold for long, the kid will pick that up from your face.

Snow might be an issue but I’d check out Nemacolin, Mohonk Mountain House (both already mentioned) and Omni Homestead.

Poconos and lux are not synonymous, but maybe you need to define what you mean by lux?

Vermont is your best bet. Woodstock Inn is reasonably lux.

Or what about the Williamsburg Inn? Kid friendly, christmassy. No snow though.

Water park stuff isn't lux and will be crazy packed. Get a nice AirBNB with indoor play equipment

Looking for recommendations for a family vacation ( Parents and a toddler) spot between Christmas and New Year's ideally between DC and NYC. Ideally a luxury experience with enough things to do for a toddler, like indoor water parks, snow stuff, trampoline park etc.

Have never planned a trip with toddler and feeling a little lost. We love good food and enjoy cooking so open to a drivable location or luxury resort.
