As someone who passes out when she overheats, can I give you some tips?
1. Sit in shade
2. Continuously hydrate (sip water)
3. Sunglasses
4. Wet a washcloth and put it in the freezer, then bring it with you in a ziplock baggie to put around your neck - if you've brought water, you can re-wet it easily.
5. Your body gives you a signal or two before you pass out - for me, I all of a sudden can't see despite my eyes being open and everything sounds like it's underwater - learn what your body's signals are, and how much of a warning that is to get somewhere safe where you won't hit your head. I have about five seconds and I sit down wherever I am, and try to tell someone, anyone, "I'm passing out."
