DP but raw Kosher tortillas would usually be frozen.

Depends on what a person's definition of "wrong" is really. Easy to say that there is nothing wrong with anything if one wants.

The mission ones are an abomination. The handlerita ones are terrible.
I can tolerate the TJ home style flour if they are heated on a hot skillet.
I try to buy lots when I go out west and then feeeze them.
Costco used to see dough disks that you could fry at home that weren’t bad.
I’ll have to try the ones at mom’s.

I was wondering if any of the Latino markets in Wheaton make them fresh. There just aren’t tortillerias out here like we have in the southwest, where they make them fresh daily. It might be the number one thing I hate about living out here. Number 2 is the humidity. Number 3 is the mosquitos.

The TJ’s homestyle ones are the best store bought. Heat them directly over a flame or on a hot pan. Some restaurants that make their own tortillas and will sell par-cooked ones.

The Trader Joe's corn and flour blend are okay. Their flour only ones are not great.

Are you toasting them before hand? That helps a lot. My mom when I was a kid would microwave them and I thought I hated flour tortillas until I realized it was just how my mom made them (she doesn't do that anymore). Just a couple flips in a hot dry pan makes a huge difference.

In general, store bought tortillas are just ok. That said Mission and Benderita are decent. I like Trader Joe’s corn and hand made flour too.

Are there any good store-bought tortillas? Looking for both flour and corn options. We usually just buy Mission and they are really bad. I shop at Costco, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Giant.
