Sure, if I leave earlier. However why would I? I plan to retire when my DRP payments end so just hanging in to see how long they actually do last.

I can leave DRP early and my agency will consider me no longer employed for the purpose of the ethics rules regarding outside employment. But other agencies may still not be willing to hire me until October, because I did take DRP, even though I'm no longer on it.

No but we can cancel drp, come back, and get vsip if we leave by 12/31/25. However, if we don't get enough funding for fy26, we have the risk of being rif'd before the end of the calendar year. And the odds of that are pretty high.
