I would drop arm work outs and do body weight squats and pushups (do them on a step if you can't them horizontal yet). I would do them back to back for 4 or 5 circuits. Do a set of body weight squats, catch your breath and do a set of push ups. Catch your breath, do another set of body weight squats, catch your breath and do another set of push ups. Do 4 or 5 rounds. Finish it off with some stretching/mobility. Push ups will work your arms.

I got a bodi membership and am doing “for every body.” 20-25 minute videos 4 days/week. Low impact and no fancy moves, but effective in targeting all body parts, mobility etc.

I also likes “muscle burns fat” on bodi, but it’s harder.

A stretching class like Yoga wouldn't be a bad add.

Core. Pilates or yoga, sit ups, planks, etc.

Slow, steady progression is the way to go. Add some basic bodyweight strength exercises, such as air squats and pushups

I hate working out, but I’m in my 40s and know I need a sustainable routine that I don’t hate.

Over the course of the last year I’ve been slowly ramping up, adding one piece at a time until it felt routine.

So far I get 10k steps daily, one mile on the treadmill daily, and a 10 minute arm video at least 3x a week.

I’m ready to add another component. Maybe more strength to alternate days with the arm video? What am I missing that is a must? Legs? Core? Again, I’m just looking for baby steps here - otherwise I won’t stick with it.
