I also have a kid at Nora and I agree with what the two previous posters said - it is not extremely rigorous, but it IS a college prep school, and it really excels in helping kids with anxiety.

I know a family who chose Templeton over Nora because they felt Templeton could offer more academic challenge. I also know some families with kids similar to yours, who chose Nora.

I have one kid at Nora and one at a more traditional/mainstream private high school. The work at Nora is definitely less rigorous, which was the right fit for my kid, who would be overwhelmed and shut down at their sibling's school. Classes are small and most teachers do a good job at differentiating. The teachers work hard to form relationships with the students, which helps with motivation. You can look on its Instagram page to see where the class of 2025 is going to college -- college counseling is focused on fit, not prestige, but your kid will have options if that's what he wants.

Considering this school for my LD/ADHD son for high school. He is not academically motivated, but does well in classes he is interested in. He is an empath and has some anxiety related issues. Public school did not serve him well. Any thoughts about this school would be appreciated. Thank you.
