He was funny for about 10 min there at one time in the late 90s.

Agree that it’s Dark Knight and not even close!

"The Dark Knight" is the only decent one, all because of Heath Ledger's version of the Joker was the most nihilistic and realistic. An ex soldier gone mercenary and cracked due to what he saw and had to do, and became black pilled at the absurdity of the world.

His joker is considered perhaps the greatest movie villain ever, along with Anton Chigurh, but were either of them really villains? They both had a very strict moral code, just ahead of the curve.

Burton's "Batman" was ok for the time period, but meant as a children's version of course, though to be fair the entire Batman genre is childish.

"The Dark Knight Rises" had a good premise and plot, but the whole League of Shadows was just done in a childish way rather than more realistically, with all the silly ninja hand-to-hand garbage.

Danny Elfman score is pretty iconic, the Bale movies were great and just real/gritty enough without going all DCU bleak — but it’s music was a bit lame.
