I haven’t applied for jobs in 12 years (I thought I’d stay where I am for the rest of my career but DOGE changed that and I’m facing layoff soon) and I feel like nothing I’m doing is working. I need someone who can look at my full package and help me figure out what to do next. Obviously I have to put in the work but I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing (even though I’ve been on the hiring manager side dozens and dozens of times). Any good leads where to look? I’ve heard a lot of these places are scams…
My undergraduate university offers career supports to alumni — that, at least in the past, have include 1 free appointment with a local career coach, as well as other resources. If you’re affiliated with a university, check to see if they offer something similar.
