Not a single student at Churchill that year took AP Physics C? That’s surprising to me.

This is the first year my student has taken AP exams. I'm looking for similar school-level data for AP exams and I'm not finding it so far. Is there a report that indicates the distribution of school scores for each exam? It seems like AP exams are more closely tied to school performance so I'm puzzled that I'm not finding this information. I found the grid that summarizes distributions for all test-takers, but that isn't as useful.

Thanks.

Curious what the source of this is. Thanks!

Wow, the MCPS profiles have a lot of great info.

Here’s what Langley’s looks like. Almost nothing to help schools compare.

Your HS gets that information, because one of my kid’s teachers shared it for the AP Chem test.

Yes, but it isn't usually distributed to parents. Colleges can buy the report for a particular school from the College Board. At least that's how it was 25 years ago. Colleges usually do it only for schools they are unfamiliar with.

There used to be a counselor on one of the boards who would post the distribution of AP scores by subject matter nationally.

Not everyone has a source of knowledge if it's our first kid, or if we never hired a counselor. And frankly, it appears that even counselors are wrong. And googling sometimes yields different information.

I suspect the mean ones are the teenagers who are bored in the summer.
If you have questions, post them here. Ignore those mean kids.

?? I read the entire thread twice and I'm not sure who is being mean to OP? Anyway, my kids' non-DC public school's school profile includes stats on what percentage of kids who took AP test got above a 3, but they don't provide any additional breakdown of the scores. However, I have seen Blair's school profile, which provides granular data on how many kids got each score on each separate AP test. I'm sure the college board gives the schools lots of information that's not made public. But if your school profile does not say, then I don't see why it's helpful to know that information since no college is going to know either.

Most schools don’t include this info for APs.

OP here. Yes, our school doesn't share any information about testing on the school profile.

This. But you can also ask the counselor for a copy.

The SAT report has an area in the report where it offers the student's school's average score. This helps calibrate the student's performance in the context of the student's school.
