I was confused why the clip we had was from DRM News/Dot Republic Media, which appears be a Pakistani news organization, and I couldn’t find anything at all about DRM News’s reputation. However, it seems to match recordings from other news organizations on Youtube. Here’s one from AP and OP’s clip seems to be towards the end.



At about 7:20 in OP’s clip, or 1:40:23 in the AP clip, Trump is asking whether he should gold leaf the ceiling moldings. I’m sure everyone whose health care is being cut will appreciate that Trump’s wants to devote his time, attention, and the national treasure to turn the White House into a gilded palace - fit for a king.

I mean some of it was interesting

The gold leaf was a bit on the nose, I think he was joking about that.

But with earlier presidents did they have monologues about random history or trivia?
