It was the 9-10 girls medley! My DD was in that race and was the last one to get out of the pool before they called it. We actually heard the thunder during the prior two heats, but they let them swim anyway.
I think the race would have continued after the storm if it was possible, but I seem to remember there being an issue with lights. There was also no cell service, so there was no way to receive any updates. However, I’ve heard stories of past relays being delayed for ages before finally resuming. So be prepared!
It was 9-10 Girls Free Relay. They swam the Medley first. But they called the meet after the 9-10 Girls Free Relay because the lights were sufficient and there was no cell service to communicate with the children.
