Travel (club) practices tend to be in the evening in our experience so say like 7pm or even 730pm. So there is time to get home and get to practice. Dinner gets eaten before.

We're in a different travel sport, but we deliberately only chose teams to try-out for/consider where getting to (mid week) practice was feasible.
And also looked through the tentative game schedule.

Carpool can help, but we haven't found it super reliable through the years, because on travel teams kids aren't always from the same neighborhood.
You'll have to take leave for tournaments, and I think an after-school nanny situation probably will be needed. It's really hard.

This. Good carpool is worth its weight in gold.

We don't do it, but when my child was being recruited this was a concern we expressed and the coaches said that everyone carpools and my child confirmed that a lot of kids bring two backpacks to school - one for school, one for soccer, and they all pile into one mom's minivan at the end of the day for soccer practice.

We have one son doing travel baseball. Practices are generally early evening so usually late enough that at least one of us has finished work. We also opted for a local team so most practices aren't more than 15-20 minutes away.

We have a nanny who is basically a driver and cleans up after kds and does their laundry.
Travel for tournaments is hard and I kinda hate it, too.

I am a SAHM. Not soccer, but another sport. It's not uncommon for kids to have practice a 1/2 hour away at 4pm during the week. There is no way a parent could do this if they didn't have a flexible job.

One of us went to work after they took the kids to school and the other one worked 7 to 330 and pick the kids up and took them to sports.

We pay the person who used to be DDs sitter to now be her driver.
Spouse works 4-midnight and I work 6am-6pm week 1 Mon/Tues/Fri then Weds/Thurs week 2
Travel soccer will be Tues/Weds/Thurs.
on week 1 we have sitter drive her on Tues and week 2 she drives her Weds and Thurs.
I do the other days as I’m off.
If the sitter is unavailable I’ll take leave to get off work early.

Carpools.
Take 1 or 2 hours leave when needed to get them places.
Take full days of leave for tournaments.

We are trying to let DD do travel soccer.
We have no close by family, we are dual Feds so some flexibility in schedule but no telework.
