Sometimes there are Rec+/Summer all star teams but that doesn’t help the rest of the year.
Firebirds is creating a team like this in Fairfax County this year.

And NVGSA Dimensions has their strongest 18U season of the softball year in fall by far, plus they have several summer league teams at 18U, and spring Dimensions as well. If enough interest they split divisions. Play in the same double headers as the travel orgs and you don't have to play rec to join. You just don't get practices if you don't play rec.
