Same. I have not wanted to go to work daily since about January. Not to do with the election, just in general hit a wall. I'm in middle management in tech and it's just been frustrating with my team and the company this year. I'm just going in for the $$ and I have 10 years more of working.

For now count your blessings but the looming layoffs and dread we all feel for future is best ignored.

Focus on applying to other jobs during your lunch break, easier to do at home then an cubicle (ask me how I know!)

Same OP. I’m a fed and my job is just so awful now. I’m holding out as long as I can but I don’t think I’ll be here long term.

Right there with you, OP. Still employed but fiscal year 2026 is when ALL THE SHOES will drop.

I'm in perimenopause and every night is Sunday night. Sigh.

I really really don’t want to go to work tomorrow (I work from home, so I’m not going anywhere other than having to log on for endless meetings but I digress). Having this long weekend makes me realize just how hard things have become at my job — federal adjacent (contracting firm). Every day for the last 6 months we’ve been waiting for another shoe to drop (and many already have). I know that come October 1 and the change of the federal fiscal year contracts will likely not be renewed and I’ll lose my job. The constant uncertainty has been mental exhausting. And, there are no jobs. I’ve been applying but so is everyone in my field.

I just wish things would get better sigh.
