Get a complete iron panel (not just hemoglobin). Anemia can cause tiredness.

Most likely it’s sleep apnea. Also do a complete bloodwork.

They make strips to help you snore less, try those. If your test didn’t show sleep apnea, look for other medical causes, but the daily nap has to go. Take a walk instead. How’s your diet?

Can you sleep on your left side?

If you must be on your back. Do you use a thin flat pillow so your neck is not bent forward?

Try these,

There are other causes of snoring besides sleep apnea. You're likely getting a really poor quality of sleep every night with how you describe your snoring. I would keep looking around for another sleep study place.

Op here. Apologize for the typos, I was typing on my phone. So, definitely peri is here. In addition, I experience terrible brain fog, mood swings depending where I am on my cycle, exhaustion and demotivation. I am also on Luvox for GAD and health OCD and I my PCP thinks Luvox makes me tired. However, I have been on it for 4 years and did not happen to me then. I still think it is unresrful sleep that causes it because very often I wake up already tired even if I slept all night. Last night, I could hear myself snoring and it woke me up. My husband says once a night, I grasp for a breath. Just once not often.

Did you ever have Covid? Long Covid? I think you need to fight through NOT napping to break that cycle because the naps are ruining your night sleep

Sounds like peri. Late 40s? Check. Exhaustion? Check. Broken sleep? Check. Doctor dismissing it? Check.

Do you have any cognitive symptoms? When I had undiagnosed sleep apnea it got to where I literally wasn't safe to drive. I remember one day I opened the passenger side door of my car, climbed in, and couldn't understand what was wrong as I tried to figure out how to drive away. Got my cpap, and all of that was fixed. I also woke up with headaches most days. There tend to be symptoms that come with sleep apnea beyond the fatigue.

Thyroid?

I know my body changed and I can drink any caffeine at all after about 10 am if I want to sleep.

I experienced this in peri, sans weight gain. I was evaluated for sleep apnea and cleared.

You definitely need an in lab sleep study. Have you had labs for thyroid, Vit D, B12, anemia? How is your diet? Protein intake?

I am discussing with my physician and it is taking long to getting the tests done.

Last year or so I have experienced tiredness. A lot of it. I am 46 otherwise healthy and active woman. I know I snore really loudly because it bothers my partner to the extend he has to sleep in another room. I did at-home 24 sleep study and it was negative for apnea. However. I am costs y tired and at 3-4 o clock crash- needing a taking a nap. I take a nap every day, if I’d don’t I can’t function.

Doctors dismiss it, at least mine. At night I don’t sleep well because I take a nap and it is really hard. Every day every afternoon I find myself in the couch talking a nap. Is it sleep apnea?
