The pickings are slim. I think it is because 60+ men (or women) who are successful, charismatic, and wealthy do not need to go on tv to find a partner.

Also...

Why is this guy picked as the Golden Bachelor 2.0 when he, at the age of 66, still has $90,000 in student loans!

There are plenty of men who are 60+ who don't have student loans! How "successful" can he be?

So, ABC execs picked Mel Owens (66) to be the second Golden Bachelor. He looks handsome, has a job as a lawyer, was a former NFL player (for a short time). But, doesn't ABC have enough money to do an ACTUAL background check on these people? You know...like talk to their exes? Maybe talk to the proposed contest about how they think of the opposite sex?

This guy is 66 and only wants to consider women who are 45-59. Red Flag.

Now we find out he's also a dead-beat dad re: child support (owed his ex-wife approx. $165,000 in child support arrears!).

He claims in recent divorce documents, that although he is a named partner in a lawfirm, he only has income of $1000/mon! Of course he has expenses of $15,000+/mon.

This guy is like so many in his age range.... a sneaky, liar who thinks he can bag much younger women. Heck, he was approx. 45 yrs old when he got his 26 yr old (not yet wife) pregnant with their first kid. He has a history of picking women 20+ yrs his junior... WHY would that kind of guy be a good fit for women wanting to watch love bloom in the upper years? Women who are 40-, 50-, 60-, or 70-something don't want to watch a smarmy guy like this chase a lady who is 20 yrs younger! Producers -- why aren't you thinking! Many women of this age group have been married to and divorced a guy like this... they don't want to see him as the lead! They want to see a "nice" guy as the lead. Not a cheap-skate, selfish guy who thinks he's too hot for women of the same age.
