Go to a dermatologist and inquire about an oral antifungal. If it really is fungal, that's going to be your fastest, most effective approach.

Cleaning up her diet will help immensely.

Fungal infections such as that are a result of too much carbohydrates in the diet. Fungus feeds off sugars.

NIZORAL SHAMPOO.

Use as body wash and scalp wash. Lather and let it be on skin for 15 minutes. Then rinse off.

Also, change your bed linens very frequently.

Separate towels for head and body.

Cotton clothes.

What worked for you?

DD has a sudden outbreak on her back, they believe exacerbated by sweat/summer. She’s on a regimen of nightly clotrimazole cream, more frequent showering throughout the day (when applicable) and daily probiotics. She’s making some progress but it’s slow. I’m wondering if there is anything else we could be doing on top of this. What worked for you?
