I've thought about this and he still has some kids' XXL size Old Navy and Gap stuff. But I think he'd draw the line at going to college with clothes that said "The Children's Place" (and I don't blame him!).

Thanks everyone, esp. for the Aeropostale and American Eagle suggestions -- I'll have him take a look. The other issue he is having is that he doesn't like the jogger-style sweats with the tapered bottoms that are in style right now and that's all ON/Gap/AE have right now. Looks like Aeropostale has some that he might like, though!

I was going to say Uniqlo, but the lengths may not be long enough in the 26 waist. They do have a tool that shows you how long a pair of pants will be at various inseams depending on the height of the wearer.

Give him a budget and tell him to figure it out.

My 18yo needs some new clothes (jeans, sweats) for college. We have a hard time finding pants that work for him because he's pretty thin. The best-fitting options we've found are at Old Navy, where he wears a 26x30 or XS. He likes ON but they only have a few styles in his size. I'm not finding many other men's brands that offer XS/26 in pants. Even Gap generally starts at 28. Any suggestions?
