Must be nice to have so few swimmers and you can practice twice a day. I bet you don't even have 13+ kids per lane. I was hoping that with the new practice space the Rays would do something about the crowded lanes, maybe add a few more practice times, but alas it was not to be...

Move to the area and join the pool. Most only allow kids to swim once a day but offer a few different times. If you are unhappy with the rays join a private pool.

I live in WG and have not heard that the pool is closing permanently aside from the DCYM thread linked above. I mean it seems likely the property will just get resold and become townhouses or something but right now it's zoned for daycare/pool.

Kramer- add it to your list of complaints when you go to defund the Rockville pool. Time for you to build your own private pool, where only you can swim. You can create your own team for your daughter 🌹.

I understand from another Woodley parent that Rockville is just letting them use their pool since they don’t have a pool this summer.

So, Rockville just built Woodley Gardens a new practice pool.

It’s an hoa pool so move there. They are probably renting the space as they have no pool.

I heard the Woodley Garden team is practicing at RSFC. How does that work are people paying money. Suppose I am not satisfied with coaching in the Rays, could we sign up? Or is that just a temporary arrangement. It would kind of make sense for RSFC to have more than one team as the Rays are so large.
