Anyone who thinks this has even a 0.000000001 percent chance of happening needs to step out of their GGWash/DC subreddit echo chamber. Congress will never, ever let this happen, just like it will never, ever allow congestion pricing.

There's a better chance that Congressional Republicans make DC rip out the bike lanes and take down the traffic cameras.

And before people say that dc is thin…it’s still bigger than Paris or Milan

Even in the umc community - dc people pack a solid 20+ lbs more than their ses counterparts in Western Europe

Paris has banned cars from certain sections of the city. It’s quiet and peaceful and I hope it lasts forever. Paris, however, has excellent public transportation. As does Berlin.

People do bike in those conditions. I am not sure this is the burn you think it is.

If you want an age limit for Congressmen, then you should work toward amending the Constitution to do that, rather than creating bizarre laws that don't address the actual problem that you want to solve.
