I disagree. Very busy and even at the Ritz it was impossible to get a chair at the beach.

Stay at a condo on 7 mile beach.

Aruba is amazing. Direct flight on United from IAD. An island easy to navigate and relax at with young kids.

True that cops enforce the law in Florida.

Agree 100%. Cartels own Mexico, especially the resorts.

Be careful with kids clubs. Most don't take kids under 4. I did a ton of research on this and the only thing I found that ticked all my boxes was a Disney cruise.

You are so full of it. Vacation in DC please. You are not ready for anything else.

I should have elaborated---don't stay at the big resorts. Try a condo or condo hotel (Caribbean Club was our favorite). The island is safe to explore, and there are things to do with kids if you need a beach break----turtle farm, the caves, the botanic park, rum point, camana bay. The better restaurants can be hard to book at the last minute during peak season, so I would advise that you make some reservations ahead of time.

An all-inclusive resort with a kids' club. My kids loved Club Med when they were young. Dominican Republic or Cancun were both fine. It frees up some downtime for you while the staff keeps them busy and entertained all day.

Puerto Rico. Directl flights in 3.5 hours out of DCA, IAD, or BWI. No passport required. Family friendly resorts (whole island is great with families) including El Conquistador (Coqui waterpark included), Wyndham Rio Mar, Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach (waterpark and playgrounds included) Bahia Beach Resort, etc.

Any other questions?

I want to plan a Caribbean vacation 4 nights in the winter. We have two kids under 5. What’s the ideal place to go for direct flights and good resorts. And any specific recommendations on a resort?

Nowhere that has safety issues. We’d be flying out of dc.
