I was really impressed with Mariska's siblings and parents.

I wish she delved more into what made Jayne Mansfield tick. They mentioned her loss of her father, but she was incredibly fame-hungry. I didn't get a sense of her as a human being beyond her quest for men. But why the drive for fame?

I really found the father bit touching, especially her unification with her bio dad.

I was expecting something breezy but it was very moving and so well done.

Liked it a lot more than expected! Teary at the end. It’s quite the story. Much more about Mariska’s identity than the movie star.

Agree. So much affection for her dad, I was surprised there were was no gratefulness directly expressed for her step mom.

It was very well done.

Except they WERE her real parents. Just not her biological ones.

Agree. It's one of the better documentaries I've seen in awhile. Very well done.

Anyone watch it?

It's about Jayne Mansfield's life. Jayne was the mother of Mariska Hargitay.

It is a fascinating, and complex, story which I found moving.

FWIW, Jayne's tragic death was the impetus behind a Federal law requiring large trucks to have bars across the back so cars don't slide underneath during a rear-end collision. Who knows how many countless lives have been saved because of it. It is commonly referred to as the "Mansfield bar" on trucks.
